Psychedelic Guide Training 2023-2024

The Psychedelic Guide Training is an experiential, year-long program designed for the ones who are interested in holding ceremony in a way that merges western-style psychology with ancient wisdoms.

The program is divided into four modules. In each module we will address a different component of medicine guiding: preparation, journey day, the energetics of holding ceremony, and integration. We will also cover key concepts crucial for the guide's capacity to work with people safely and effectively, including trauma informed care, parts work (Internal Family Systems), and best practices for harm reduction (set, setting, screening, dosage, and professional ethics). Lastly, we will weave in the lens of archetypes into each module. We will explore the unique facet of four different archetypes as they relate to becoming a medicine guide, deepening your personal transformation and allowing you to become more resourced, versatile and agile in your work.

This will be an intimate cohort. Everyone is welcome to apply! Priority will be given to bipoc, queer and trans folks. Some scholarships are available.

Program structure

Each module will include seven or eight weekly 2-hour sessions via Zoom culminating with an in-person, experiential weekend retreat. Each retreat that will include a journey with a different sacrament, breathwork, integration and other activities supportive of the guide’s growth. We'll have four retreats total. All retreats are included in your tuition!

Breaks are built into each module. The overall cadence of the program will be 3 weekly Zoom sessions followed by a week-long break. We will also take a break following each retreat. This is to allow for the spaciousness needed for your integration and overall life balance. 

After the year-long intensive, we will have one year of monthly group consults to support your continued learning and be in community with other practitioners.

Program Highlights

  • Cultivate the capacity to guide individuals through the three stages of the journey: preparation, the day of journey, and integration. 

  • Learn and practice key western frameworks crucial for your capacity to work with clients (trauma informed care, parts work, and somatics).

  • Experiential learning: we'll sit with 4 different sacraments.

  • 4 in-person retreats (included in your tuition).

  • You will receive 4 music playlists and 4 meditations you could use with your clients.

  • Learn best practices for client screening and harm reduction (including set, setting and dosage).

  • We will cover ethics and business skills for the guide, including all the forms and paperwork you will need to get started. 

  • Year long group consult will follow the training to ensure ongoing support and mentorship as you embark on your path of service.

  • Be part of a community of practitioners dedicated to their path of service.

  • Experience deep personal transformation.
